Freedom Festival 2009

Last night Great Grandma, Grandma, Papa and I took the kids to Holland's annual Freedom Festival. Unfortunately Daddy had to work. There was a kids zone for the kids, fire truck rides, grilled chicken dinners and Fireworks at the end. When we first took Joey to the Kid's Zone he wasn't too sure. He actually just stood there looking pathetic and doing his whining thing. Once we said that Peyton was going to do it he suddenly changed his mind ~ sibling rivalry ~ such a great thing at such an early age. Once he was in the moon walk and jumping he had a blast. So much fun actually that he was hard to get out. After playing for a while it was time to get a balloon made. He saw other little boys with swords and decided that that was what he had to have. A yellow one to be exact. Then it was dinner time....Peytie loved the chicken, she is always our good little eater. Joey on the other hand has become a pain lately which lead us to bribery. "If you eat all your chicken you can go for a ride on the fire truck". Of course that worked so off Papa and Joey were to go get in line to ride on the fire truck...twice actually. Mommy and Peytie got to go for a ride too the second time. After our ride we headed back to the kid zone for a little more jumping and then it was time to find a spot for the fireworks. When we were seated and waiting we got a little surprise....Daddy showed up. He got off of work on time for once and thought he would come see the fireworks.

We had a great time!

I have to get ready for work so I will post pictures when I get home....if you can't wait visit me on Facebook ~ my pictures load much quicker there :)
