Mid-Ohio Day Two

Today was qualifying day!! Thank goodness qualifying didn't start until 12:30 because we are, I think possibly the slowest moving family when it comes to getting somewhere. The track was a lot busier today than it was yesterday so parking was a little bit more of a challenge. Our parking pass gave us infield parking for the entire weekend which made for a lot less walking for us and the kids.
Our first mission of the day was to find Scott and give him a copy of the picture that we took of Joey and him. Joey waited very patiently making new friends to pass time. He even got to chat with Emma, Scott's wife. When Scott finally came out to see him Joey was so excited that he didn't even look at his face. Instead, he saw a guy in a polo with a hat on totally missing the fact that Scott was already in race suit giving the picture to the wrong person ~ oops. Oh well Scott still appreciated the picture and signed a copy for us too that we plan on framing so we can hang it in Joey's room.
Once that mission was accomplished it was time for me to try and get the rest of our license plate signed and to find Ryan Hunter-Reay so I could get him to sign my hat and get my picture taken with him.

Waiting with the family for Scott.

Joey along pit lane acting silly.

Peytie giving the Firehawk FIVE!!

Finally found Ryan Hunter-Reay.
He was signing my hat for me :)

Picture Time

Tomorrow's RACE day!!! Here's to having one last day of well-behaved kids so Mommy and Daddy can actually watch the race.
