Typically the Fulton County Fair is the best out of all of the fairs in our area. They even advertise themselves as the "fair"est of them all. This year we weren't able to make it there until the last day. We did this partially on purpose because it was also my Mom's birthday so we were trying to make going to the fair a bit of a tradition and also because it's when it worked out that we all had the day off together. Us, being city folk didn't realize that when it gets to be the end of the fair the animals are already auctioned off and sent on their way. Needless to say we had very disappointed kiddos as well as adults. The only animals that were left were some ducks, chickens, rabbits, a few cows and maybe 1/10th of the horses. That's right, sheep barn-empty, goats-gone, sheep-zip. Not much of a fair this year. The kids still managed to have a good time since they are finally old enough to enjoy the rides.
