A Birthday trip to the Zoo

For Peyton's birthday we did, what has now become an annual event, visited The Toledo Zoo. The first thing we had to do was pay a visit to one of the newest members of the zoo, a male polar bear named Siku. He was the cutest thing and was so playful.

Even though it was Peyton's birthday, Joey had to get the first look at Siku.

Sorry, not a very good shot.

A little better one.
They have stickers of birds on the glass and he was trying to figure out how to catch them.

Got it!!
Mama, Joey and Peyton looking at the seals.
Looks like the seal was looking at them too.

It's funny because the older the kids get the sillier they act on the statues. Before they used to just smile ~ now they CLIMB!!

Example :)

Holy Cow ~ they both actually looked at the camera.

Time for a train ride....

Ready to go!!

Just checking everything out.

She was enjoying the ride.

Especially when she got to see the "Uh Oh's"

A gorilla statue getting a fishy cracker put up it's nose.

Hey it was a first so I had to document it!!

We got to the monkeys right as they were being fed their dinner.
The kids thought it was pretty cool watching them eat.

We had another wonderful day at the zoo. We were only there a few hours so we let the kids pick out exactly what they wanted to see which included the seals, polar bears, the train (Giraffes, Zebras, African Dogs, Ostrich, Impalas etc.), wolves, tigers, penguins, gorillas, the monkeys and of course swirl ice cream for a snack.
